Complimentary Registration for African Clinicians
We built this conference for you
Africa carries roughly one quarter of the world’s disease burden with only three percent of the world’s health workforce. The clinicians doing this work, often without enough hands, enough supplies, or enough peers, deserve to be in the room when Africa’s healthcare future is being shaped. Complimentary registration is how AHA acknowledges that.
Who qualifies
Complimentary registration is offered to practicing healthcare professionals currently working in an African country. If your role and country fit one of the categories below, you can apply.
Verification required: AHA staff reviews each application and confirms your status through publicly available registries or brief follow-up.
What’s included
Approved clinicians receive the same full conference experience as paid attendees.
Free AHA Membership for African Clinicians
Two paths to complimentary AHA membership, one for conference attendees and one available right now.
Conference + Membership Bundle
If your application is approved and you accept the complimentary conference registration, you also receive complimentary AHA membership for the year, included automatically. No separate signup, no extra steps.
Acceptance of the registration enrolls you in the FEAT Healthcare Database (see disclosure below).
Membership Without Attending
Any African clinician can join AHA at no cost today by accepting the FEAT Healthcare Database terms. You receive year-round AHA benefits without needing to attend the conference.
Same FEAT Database enrollment as the conference path. Review the privacy policy.

About the FEAT Healthcare Database
Read this carefully before you apply so you know what will happen if you are approved.
Applying does not enroll you in the database. Submitting this application means you would like to be considered for complimentary registration. If AHA approves your application and you accept the complimentary registration, your professional details will then be added to the FEAT Healthcare Database.
FEAT Healthcare is AHA’s sister organization, which maintains a continental registry of African healthcare professionals. Access to the aggregated database is made available to pharmaceutical and life sciences companies in the United States, Europe, and other global markets that develop medicines, devices, and research relevant to African healthcare. Revenue from database access funds AHA programming, including the complimentary registration you are applying for.
When you accept your approved registration, you are agreeing that FEAT Healthcare may:
- Add your name, role, country, institution, specialty, and the information on this application to the FEAT Healthcare Database
- Communicate with you about potential collaborations and consulting opportunities
- Share your information with selected pharmaceutical and life sciences partners
Your three options if approved:
- Accept the complimentary registration. You attend the conference at no cost. Your information is added to the FEAT Database.
- Decline and register at the Non-Member rate ($1,000) instead. No database enrollment.
- Decline entirely. No registration, no database enrollment.

You may withdraw from the FEAT Database at any time after enrollment by emailing privacy@africanhealthcareassociation.com.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to be an AHA Member to qualify for complimentary registration?
No. Complimentary registration is open to any practicing healthcare professional working in an African country, member or not. If you are also an AHA Member, you do not need to use your member registration for the conference; the complimentary path is your most direct route.
I am an African clinician but I currently practice outside Africa (in the diaspora). Do I qualify?
Complimentary registration is specifically for clinicians currently practicing in an African country. If you are African by origin or training but practicing outside the continent, you are warmly welcomed to register at the Non-Member rate of $1,000, or at the member rate if you join AHA. We deeply value the diaspora community and have other ways to engage you in AHA’s work.
What is the FEAT Healthcare Database?
FEAT Healthcare is AHA’s sister organization, building a continental registry of African healthcare professionals. Access to the aggregated database is made available to pharmaceutical and life sciences companies in the United States, Europe, and other markets that develop medicines, devices, and research relevant to African healthcare. Revenue from database access funds AHA’s programming, including the complimentary clinician registration. Acceptance of the complimentary registration is what enrolls you in the database; submitting this application alone does not. Full details and the official Privacy and Data Protection Notice: https://feathealthcare.com/privacy-policy/.
What if I do not want my information in the FEAT Database?
You can still submit this application; just decline the complimentary registration at the acceptance stage (when AHA emails you with the approval decision). You will then be welcome to register at the Non-Member rate of $1,000 instead, which does not include database enrollment. The complimentary path is tied to the database because revenue from FEAT is what makes complimentary registration financially sustainable for AHA.
Can I withdraw from the FEAT Database after I am enrolled?
Yes. After acceptance of your complimentary registration enrolls you in the FEAT Database, you can withdraw and request removal at any time by emailing privacy@africanhealthcareassociation.com. Withdrawal does not affect your registration for the 2026 conference; you remain a confirmed attendee.
How long does the review take?
We review all submissions within 48 hours. During high-volume periods, this may extend to 3 to 5 business days. If you have not heard back within that window, email info@africanhealthcareassociation.com, and we will check on your application. Once we have confirmed your HCP credentials, you will receive a welcome email from the African Healthcare Association. The final decision on complimentary registration for the conference in Ghana will be sent by September 30, 2026.
Is there any cost at all?
Registration is fully complimentary. AHA does not charge any application or processing fee. Approved clinicians are responsible for their own travel and accommodation, though the AHA group rate at the Marriott Hotel Accra significantly reduces lodging cost.
Can my colleagues from the same institution apply too?
Yes, absolutely. Every qualified clinician can apply individually. We encourage teams from the same hospital, clinic, or institution to attend together; the conference is designed for cross-disciplinary collaboration. Please apply through separate individual applications so each person gets their own confirmation.
What if I am approved but cannot attend?
Email info@africanhealthcareassociation.com as soon as you know. We will release your spot so another clinician can take it. There is no penalty, but please give us as much notice as possible so we can offer the seat to someone on the waitlist.
Are travel grants or stipends available?
AHA does not currently offer travel grants for the inaugural conference. For 2027 and beyond, we are exploring partnerships that could fund travel for selected clinicians. If you know of an organization or sponsor who would like to support clinician travel for AHA 2026, please email info@africanhealthcareassociation.com.
How is this different from registering as a Non-Member?
Same conference, same access, same materials, same networking. The only difference is the price. Practicing African clinicians register complimentary; Non-Members pay $1,000. If you qualify for the complimentary path, please use it; you free up budget that AHA can reinvest in conference programming and future clinician scholarships.
What if I have a question that isn’t answered here?
