Africa carries a growing burden of cancer, and prostate cancer in particular is being diagnosed late — often at stages where treatment options are narrow. The path to changing that runs through coordinated partnerships: between pharmaceutical industry teams, academic institutions, professional oncology societies, and the clinicians treating patients on the ground.
In this session, Dr. Marilyne Kpetemey draws on more than a decade in pharmaceutical medical affairs and clinical operations to walk through how those partnerships get built, how clinical trials and data generation strategies can be structured to open both diagnostic and treatment access at once, and how African researchers and institutions can leverage global relationships to elevate their work.
